In addition to your prayers for the people of Haiti, here are some ways that you can contribute to the relief efforts.
1. Donate online (General Board of Global Ministries - UNITED METHODIST COMMITTEE ON RELIEF (UMCOR) secure donation site).
2. Place your gift in the offering plate or send it to the church designated for Haiti Emergency.
3. Midwest Mission Distribution Center is requesting supplies for Health Kits (http://www.igrc.org/Ministries/Missions/Disaster-Relief/Health-Kits.aspx) and Layette Kits (http://www.igrc.org/Ministries/Missions/Disaster-Relief/Layette-Kits.aspx). Follow the links to see what specific supplies are needed. MMDC is responding to a request from UMCOR Sager-Brown and will be shipping these items to UMCOR for disaster relief response for the Haiti earthquake victims.
DONATIONS CAN BE BROUGHT TO THE CHURCH AND LEFT IN THE DESIGNATED CONTAINER!
The magnitude of this disaster is unspeakable. May God guide and direct the rescue and recovery efforts. May God give everyone the strength they need to endure all that they must face. May we each do what we can to help alleviate their pain and suffering.
